GuestViewIns provides feedback infrastructure across the customer journey for merchants. In most cases, the merchant is the data controller of customer data, and GuestViewIns acts as a data processor/service provider under the merchant's authorization.

1. Data Processing Role

  • The merchant owns and manages the customer relationship and remains responsible for the legal basis to use customer data.
  • GuestViewIns processes data on behalf of the merchant for feedback collection and service quality workflows.
  • GuestViewIns does not resell customer data, does not operate as an ad network, and does not reuse data beyond agreed service scope.

2. Data We Process

Following data-minimization principles, we primarily process only the fields needed for feedback operations, such as phone number, order ID, product/service ID, feedback content, and operational logs. We do not intentionally request unnecessary sensitive data such as national ID numbers, detailed payment credentials, or home address unless legally required.

3. Purpose of Processing

Data is used to send service feedback requests at relevant customer touchpoints, process service-quality responses, prevent abuse/spam, and generate analytics for the same merchant. Communications must remain service-oriented rather than mass promotional marketing.

4. Data Sharing and Isolation

Data is isolated by merchant account. One merchant cannot access another merchant's identifiable data. We do not sell personal data and only share data with necessary infrastructure providers or competent authorities when legally required.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, audit logging, and encryption at rest for sensitive fields such as phone numbers, API credentials, and access tokens where technically feasible.

6. Opt-Out and Anti-Spam

Each merchant must provide a clear opt-out mechanism for end customers (for example STOP, unsubscribe link, or disable future feedback). GuestViewIns may enforce rate limits/cooldowns or suspend sending flows to prevent abuse.

7. Retention

Data retention follows internal policy and/or merchant agreement. Example reference windows: raw webhook logs may be kept for 30-90 days for troubleshooting; aggregated analytics may be stored longer. After service termination, data is deleted or anonymized according to purge schedules.

8. Rights and Contact

End customers should submit personal-data requests to the merchant they transacted with. Merchants may contact GuestViewIns through official support channels for processor-side assistance within our service role.
